IMAGE-INATION

Every imagination has to start with an image. What are you imagining for your life, for your future, or for you family? Is it from Jesus, or is it from the devil? One image comes from faith; another can come from your own lust or desires. Then we can get thoughts or words from the devil. Then we start seeing images in our imagination that promote fear. The devil always keeps giving you images in your mind! From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks; what are you speaking about? Out of your own IMAGE-INATION? What image are you bound to? Which image do you serve before Jesus’ return?

What is the IMAGE in your mind? This was happening in Daniel 3:8-28. We will read it, but not all will understand, but those who have ears to hear will! Just as happened to Nebuchadnezzar, the devil will use your pride to get you to sign a decree so you can accomplish the desire of your own flesh and be bound to your own golden image (verse 10).

We need to be as bold as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (verse 14), “Do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?” The furnace went up seven times more, but not even their hair was burned! Put on Christ, and give no provision for your own flesh, and not even a fire will touch your clothes (Christ), nor will your clothes smell like fire (verse 27)! “He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God” (verse 25). Jesus, the fourth man, was there! All that was conspiring against those Jewish boys was turned all around, but only after faith, trials, and persecution.

IMAGE-INATION! One of the things that God hates is the lust of the eye (1 John 2:16). We talk about images we put in our mind that can become our gods! The mind is the most powerful thing! How many images have we created and worshiped that went after the lust of the eyes? We get fearful because of our own imagination! Make sure the god that is in front of you is not the god of your own imagination! Everybody loves the Jesus of their own making. How about the One I am preaching today? How about the One who said all of these things and gave all of these warnings? The real Jesus is the same One who is this Word!

This is where Satan gets in with thoughts; then, if you meditate on them, we see that this is how fear is formed from out of nowhere! The devil will make people bow down to his image. The cell phone is one of its ways. When we look at the phone, we physically, usually, have to bow our heads to it! We will bow down to Jesus or to our own mind! People say things like, “Kiss the ring!” This is a sign of submission! We see that happening all the time! BUT we have a ring from Jesus! KISS THAT RING! KISS THE TRUTH! KISS THE WORD! We were made in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), but for this creation to be manifested, we must be born again! Jesus was the visible image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15)! So, we have a Church full of Nicodemuses (not born again) and rich young rulers (filled with self-righteousness)! That is why many people leave sad when they hear the Truth! We can worship in our own imagination, even without knowing, but we will have to make a choice today to worship the image of God, only!

Here comes an understanding about how our warfare in the mind happens. Let’s go to 2 Corinthians 10:3-7. I don’t try to prove myself; I see that God will show me if I was right! Stronghold in our mind is a MIND SET! Set ways to do church, set ways to worship, set ways about how our preaching should be, set ways about how our lives should be. That is why we need to obey the Word of God. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” (verse 4). Only the washing of the water of the Word will renew our minds from this anti-Christ world system.

Pay attention to this part: CASTING DOWN IMAGE-INATIONS! “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” (verse 5). Have you ever thought about something bad, and you don’t even know how that thought came to your mind? It came from satan! That is why the Word told us to SET OUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE (Colossians 3:2), meaning on things that are lovely, pure, and of good report. That is what is ABOVE!

You don’t even try to exalt those thoughts. They are so powerful! They will exalt themselves on their own! Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), but the fear of man’s knowledge turns into the beginning of deception. We must cast down all those imaginations and images!

“And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled” (verse 6). When was Christ’s obedience fully fulfilled? On the cross! When is your obedience fulfilled? When we pick up our cross! When we stop following our own imagination! We must pay attention to who is speaking to our ears! We follow the Word, that is God!

Do you see this warning? “Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? if any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's” (verse 7). Think again! Think again! Think again! Who are the ones who do not bow down to the image? It looked like they were defeated, but they were not! They were rejoicing, until the Fourth Man showed up! If any man trust in anything else, including yourself, or think you do not belong to Christ, you are deceiving your own self! It is written!

Even the elect would be deceived, if God does not shorten the time. Those who do not receive or love the Truth, those who say a salvation prayer, the sons and daughters of the churches and denominations, which are people that were born in the church system, even they will be deceived! All I can do is to tell you the Truth! If you call a preacher of righteousness, a false prophet, tell me this, how many false prophets are telling you to pick up your own cross?

People think that mega churches that are all about mega numbers mean mega-God! God is warning us time after time! I cannot live just by an evangelistic gospel (Jesus loves me, and let’s go to heaven), I need to eat the whole Lamb! Keep His Word and His image, keep His Word in our imagination, keep His Word as the only One you bow to! Eat and believe, line upon line!

Satan wants to get in your mind with a bad thought, then wants it to get in our mouths. Instead, of being a prophet or prophesying, we start giving birth to the fruit of our imagination. The Bible says, “calling things that are not as though they were” (Romans 4:17). We start doing divination, or some say PROPHE-LYING! It is straight up fortune telling! Then we create atmospheres; we must not create anything that comes from our IMAGE! We must bring heaven down; Earth as it is in heaven! Get your will and your mind set on His will, or His will can never be done in your life! We can en-vision or imagine. One is from God, and one can become a god! Envision to a vision within! God can give a dream or vision, but if they are not given by God, they can be from our own imagination! They should not be from our mind but from the mind of Christ!

Today, let’s cast down every IMAGE-INATION and every VAIN IMAGE-INATION! The Word says, “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:21-22). Learn to judge those imaginations from 1 Corinthians 2:12-16. A spiritual man judges all things, all images, and all spirits, just to make sure if it is of God! You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit to be able to test anything in the Spirit! Not just a prayer, but a baptism of fire, of Truth, of being born again.

“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ” (verse 16). You don’t get the mind of Christ by listening to worship music or by just going to church, but by eating His Word, by knowing Him, and by communion with Him and one another! Communion has nothing to do with Sunday Communion with wafer and juice, but eating His flesh and drinking His blood daily! That is true communion! Communion for some has become a religious ritual, but for others is transformation and change!

If you don’t have this mind and have been following your own imaginations, the Word says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5). Order our steps if we are going to the wrong direction! It only takes one little lie, one imagination, one tiny thought, and suddenly, you end up going to hell instead of living in that place of Glory! Stay on the narrow way; stay in the Truth! Who are my brothers and sisters? Let’s keep His Word and rejoice! Let’s keep His Word, and we will see HIS IMAGE! We want to bear fruit! Every branch in me must bear fruit!

We have been created by Him and for Him. What was lost in the garden, now has been given to the sons of God, and that is His image! We will bear HIS IMAGE! Our old man has to bow to this new man in Christ, to His Image! The world will see His Church bearing the image of God and no other!
