Just because we know what the Word tells us, that is not enough. I want to know what the Word tells us because I have relationship with the Word, communion with the Word! I don't want to know anything just because I read it but because I am one with the Word. Because the letter kills, but His Spirit brings life. He said that His words are spirit and life (John 6:63)! What is written in the letter was said, and it can refer to past, future, and now, but the river is always flowing. It is so good to have the written Word, but if you are not born again, it's hidden from all until God removes the veil. But it is the same words and letters. That is amazing! Every person will have a chance to see the revelation in the letter or to be killed by that same letter because this is what the devil does!
So, I don't have fellowship with the letter! Jesus came to expose those who only have a relationship with doctrine and the letter, but we want to appropriate the Word that is Spirit and that is Life! I was dead but looked alive in flesh, but sin was working death in me. But when Jesus, the Word, was speaking, the letter became alive, and once it was said, it was; it existed! Everything that He said, today it is! The Word was alive until the moment it was written. It never stopped being the Word of God, but it must be activated by the Spirit! Paul was talking to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3. He was not talking about Jesus. He was calling the Church a written epistle (verse 2). The Word is not written anymore on tables of stone but in fleshy tables of the heart (verse 3). This was spoken to a Church that did not have the New Testament added to the Old Testament in a nice leather binder. No, it was the Holy Spirit in Paul and in Jesus that spoke what they heard and saw. So much was spoken when Paul was with these churches during his preachings! He only wrote back to them. He wrote letters to address questions and problems or to encourage them to continue in the Spirit of God. Don't you ever think that God won't be speaking to you through others. We cannot consider being sufficient in our own selves (verse 5). Our sufficiency is of God in the Body! We are ministers of the Spirit because "… ministers of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life" (verse 6). Jesus had to back Paul's statement, making another in John 6:63 once on Earth: "My Words are Spirit and Life!"
Once the Word was written on the natural stone, the glory started to lift. But once the Word is written on the tables of our hearts, the glory starts coming back. We are not ignoring the written Word, but we are not going to be bound by the written Word but by the Spirit of the Word! Everything that was written with the ink of the Spirit, we must pay attention and follow it, and never be led by our own understanding or interpretation. Religious people keep focusing on the outside, but the Spirit is always focusing on the inside and helping us to kill all of the little foxes (Song of Solomon 2:15)! The vine is Christ, and the vine is supposed to be the center of life (where Jesus and His fruit comes from). Many are carrying the Bible, but that does not impress God; but only what you are carrying in your heart! The ministration of the Spirit will always be glorious (verse 8 ). If you want to look for the living, you better look for those who are alive and have been reborn in Christ (Luke 24:5), or you will remain dead. We are not against the Old Testament. We read it to get more revelation of Christ.
We are not saying the former season was not glorious. I am saying what He has for us is much more glorious (verse 11), exceeding glory! The written Word, even being the Truth, may not be applicable to what the Spirit is saying at this moment! This is all that should matter! If you want to have faith now, tap into what the Spirit is saying now! Get the book, but let the Spirit guide you to what He wants to say! Being a living epistle, He is writing through many pens! He wants to bring you closer to Him through His Word, not close to Judaism, Hebrew roots, or this and that, but to Christ, not to the works of the flesh but submission to the power of the Spirit of God that is the one that changes us from Glory to Glory!
"But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). This ever-proceeding happens only when God opens His mouth, not necessarily when we open the book. Only what is proceeding out of God can bring you to relationship to the Word and to the Spirit. He might use the Book, but so does Satan. Satan used the same written letter to tempt Jesus in the desert (Matthew 4:1-11). If God does not breathe on the written letter, then it remains dead, according to God, according to Paul, according to the same Word that is being read. If you stay in relationship only with Him and the Bible, what will happen when the Bible cannot be read anymore? What if it becomes illegal or if it vanishes off the internet? What if the Bible is not allowed anymore? In the Book of Acts, there was no Bible. They had to rely on hearing the Holy Spirit! Paul wrote letters, he was able to get much revelation, he knew so much of the Word, but he reached that place of revelation from the Spirit. We are not diminishing anything written in the Bible but exalting everything that is of God and of the Spirit!
This way, we won't be puffed up with knowledge of it! People worship knowledge from the written books, but revelation and understanding can only be received by the Spirit because they are of the Spirit. The Spirit of Revelation is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Truth is the Holy Spirit. They are all the SEVEN spirits of God, according to Isaiah 11:2. All the SEVEN Spirits standing before the throne of God are God. We just don't know the full knowledge of the number SEVEN. Completion of One. We cannot divide God, and He cannot deny Himself. The great thing about the New Testament is that it is the evidence of the Old Testament. It is the evidence of the Old Testament that was from God and is God! Now, we are manifesting the fact that the Church was before the foundation of the world. Just as Jesus was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, now we begin to see ourselves written, and also now, we are seeing ourselves in Christ – this is also part of the plan of God! His plan is not just to get someone to heaven or to save them from sin, but it is to manifest Christ on Earth in earthly vessels, in power!
These people filled with letter, not with the Spirit, are trying to raise the dead, but they themselves are dead! The same veil is still on their hearts (verse 15). Let's make sure we let God remove this veil and take it away (verse 16). "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty" (verse 17). God wants us to be like a glass, manifesting the glory of the Lord by the Spirit of the Lord (verse 18). We are not saying we are GOD, but we are partakers of His divine nature. Jesus was the first fruit of many brethren (1 Corinthians 15:20)!
We need to follow first Spirit, then the Word, or we become condemning, judgmental, self-righteous, religious, jealous, and blind. As we read John 5:14-47, we ask God to remove the veil from our hearts and eyes, so we cannot just read it but understand and have revelation of it! I want to know IT! What did Jesus do to that man with leprosy (Luke 17:11-19)? He was made whole! There is a difference between to be healed and to be made whole. To be made whole is complete; it is body, soul, mind, and spirit! Sometimes, your healing is attached to your deliverance. Sometimes, we can't be healed until the cause is removed! Ten lepers were healed, but only one was made whole because of faith. Worship without faith is dead. But that one came back to worship Jesus. His worship proved his faith. Back to John 5, they tried to kill Jesus for following the Spirit and not the letter of the Sabbath (verse 18). Jesus is Spirit and is greater than the letter! I don't want to be blinded by the letter; I want the Word to set me free! What is God saying to us today? That is what the Spirit is saying. "Give me this day my daily bread;" THIS DAY! My DAILY bread!
Jesus read the book, but He closed the book of Isaiah, saying TODAY THIS PROPHECY WAS FULFILLED BEFORE YOUR EYES (Luke 4:21)! TODAY what was written has become ALIVE! He left the temple without the book because HE WAS THE BOOK/WORD fulfilled in HIS FLESH! God wants us to begin to see ourselves in the Word to the point where we can say, "Today, this Word has been manifested." It is time to burn the old book of our past and become the written word that's already been said of us, and become the written word of God, the New Testament that has been written and is to come. That is the Spirit of prophecy. The revelation of Jesus is the evidence of the Spirit of prophecy (Revelation 19:10). If we are blinded by the letter, whatever is written in the Bible is still just there on paper for us! But now we see it is no longer just Christ, but Christ and the Church. This is why He spoke these epic words that made religious and blind leaders want to kill Him.
If you bear witness of your own self, your witness is not true! If you bear witness of Him, your witness is truth (John 18:37)! God wants us to move in power so we can bear witness of Him! They were hearing God speaking to Him, but they could not hear His voice! You have the book in your hands, but you don't abide in Him; you have the book in your hands, but you can't hear His voice! Those who understand the Spirit will understand you! In John 5:39, Jesus is saying, "Keep reading, keep searching, because you think you will find eternal life in the letter! You are not seeing Me. I am right in front of you, and you still cannot see Me." That is such a powerful statement. What an indictment of that time to those leaders!
Moses wrote of Jesus. Paul wrote of you. Jesus was pointed at you and added us all to the story. "If we don't believe in his writings, how can they believe in His words?"…Now we are entering into the alpha, and into the omega, into the beginning, and into the end! Read John 1:1-17. Jesus was the light, and now we are the lights of the World. He said that: "Ye are the light of the world" (Matthew 5:14-16). Do you see yourself now in the pages? We are there.
Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit became flesh, became the Word, and the Word was God. The Word took on sin; the Word that was with God came and died and rose again and sent His Spirit to be in His children once again. Overcoming death, bringing life to all of those who will receive, making us co-heirs with Himself (Romans 8:17), being in eternity, so His words are Spirit, and they are life!
The entire book of John is like no other; it is God Himself speaking about Himself, adding power to become His Son, and because of that, we are made to be partakers of His divine glory (2 Peter 1:4). The two shall be one in Christ and one with the Church (Mark 10:8)!
John was born before Jesus. That is why he said, "The one that comes after me?" But Jesus actually did not come after John because before John came Jesus, who already existed as the Word…in the beginning was the Word…So, John the Baptist was speaking about now. John came to bear witness of the light, and then the light (Jesus) says now to those born again, "Now, you are the light of the world." Look out for satan using the letter to try to put out your light, and beware of false prophets trying to get you back into bondage and make you dirt once again. Those are religious demons with bibles. So, you say, "What do you mean? The Bible said in the book of John chapter 1, verse 15, "BEFORE HE (JOHN), HE WAS (JESUS)!" Meaning that before John was, Jesus was! The man sent from God, named John, was sent to bear witness of the light (Jesus). He was the light, to light every man who will be lit! He went to His own (Jews); they received Him not (John 1:11), but then it is written, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name" (John 1:12). He was prophesying the Church right here, then He goes and says, "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us," (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth" (John 1:14-15). Then John cries, He who comes after me is preferred before me; FOR HE WAS BEFORE ME… John 1:27… Wow, now, but remember, John was 6 months older than Jesus in this world, so we know he is talking about John 1:1-4. This makes Jesus God and makes every other religion or antichrist spirit exposed when they say the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are separated. But they are one. This is the Godhead. Jesus was made the visible image of God, and now, He wants the Church to become the visible image of the invisible God, just as Jesus was. Many call that blasphemy, but it is written! And those who do that is a sure sign of the religious spirit. Jesus came to make us one with Him, the Father and the Holy Spirit, and with each other! Then John said in Chapter 1, verse 17, "For the letter of the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ!" Wow!
John was the greatest prophet, but before John, HE WAS! God has given you more authority than John the Baptist had. Do you believe it? So, start doing it! John the Baptist prepared the people for the coming of Jesus. We now prepare the world for His last coming! The church was created before the foundation of the world. He said the least in the Kingdom of God is greater than the greatest prophet before Christ. Wow, you're written, too. We need to enter into eternity so we can manifest what is already set! This is why Jesus said, "For I say unto you, among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he" (Luke 7:28). Because the Kingdom came through Jesus, but John died before the promise of the Holy Spirit. After the Day of Pentecost, the Church was manifested on the Earth in flesh. All those who receive the blood of the Lamb, repent, believe, receive, and are born again are reconnected to the Kingdom of God, and it is within, not by observation (Luke 17:20), not without, like the religious blind leaders and traditionalists.
John gave witness of Jesus, the Truth, and the Word of life! Closing this revelatory writing, let's read John 6:44-66 and John 16:1-13. The Spirit of Revelation is always tearing the veil to reveal the Church, and now He is using the church to reveal Christ! No man can see the Father through the dead letter. No man can come to the Father through the dead letter! I can eat the pages, and the paper will come out in the draught, but if the written Word is written inside of my heart, that is when it becomes life in me! Some people worry more about reading the Bible than having the bible written in them, on their hearts, to repent, but also to have their minds changed and their actions changed. The men of the written word (the letter teachers) were furious (Luke 4:21) when He quoted Isaiah 61:1-2, and closing the book, He said, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."
Do you see the difference between a carnal mind and a spiritual mind? We must eat His flesh and drink His blood. That is the only way to have eternal life! In the Bible, He has said so many things, but He is saying, I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO SAY TO YOU! Not for you to read about, but for FOR YOU TO HEAR! But back then, the apostles had not received the Holy Spirit yet, nor the Spirit of Truth in them, so it was still by observation! Everybody in religion is trying to see the end times through the book of Revelation, but to see it, you will need to be IT! Wow! You will need to be the end-time messenger! You will need the apostolic unction, those who have the Word written in them! You will need to be the sound of many waters, many voices bearing witness to the voice of THE WORD, of the SPIRIT, AND OF THE TRUTH!
"Father, thank you for what you are saying and for what you are doing! You are using all THE BIBLE, HIS SPIRIT, AND HIS BODY OF CHRIST to keep us in the Truth! Don't look to the left or right. Keep your eyes on Jesus! Thank you, Father, for your Word. We come closer because we were just reminded that there is more in You for us to get, for more in us to give! Father, help us to keep doing this race! Spirit of Truth, of Revelation, make all things flesh in us!" The least in the Kingdom is greater than the greatest prophet of all time! What other affirmation can He give to you? He showed you in the pages what you have and who you are! There are no limits in the Truth, in eternity; now we are entering into the alpha, into the omega, into the beginning, and into the end! If you are seated in Christ, why are you under the letter, the law, and the flesh? You have promises to live and walk in the Spirit. It is time for you to close the BOOK OF YOUR LIFE, YOUR PAST, YOUR FAILURES, YOUR DOUBTS, and all your works of the flesh, and let Christ be formed in you! It is time!
When are you going to be able to say, TODAY, THIS SCRIPTURE HAS COME TO PASS? TODAY IS THE DAY THAT THE WORD HAS BEEN FULFILLED IN ME? Today! Today! Today!
