SUBSTANCE

God spoke to me, and He said to call this message “Substance.” The world is waiting to have tangible evidence. Evidence that what you believe is true because when you truly believe, there is evidence to prove it: signs, wonders, and miracles. This is evidence that makes the unbeliever a believer. From things unseen to things being seen. Faith begins to be seen by its evidence. Tangible evidence, substance that you can taste, touch, and feel. You say you have faith, but where is your evidence? Where is the power? Faith is the evidence of things unseen! “The substance” of things hoped for. Substance, meaning it is tangible. We have a lot of so-called “Believers” with no evidence. They have nothing tangible to show their faith, just words! The 120 that filled the upper room had evidence: cloven tongues of fire came upon them, and they began to speak in other tongues. Each person hearing them in their own language. That was a sign and a wonder. That was the power; that was the evidence, the substance of things hoped for! Only God could do that! The faith we claim to have has to have evidence to prove it! Show me your faith by your evidence. Evidence is the substance of your faith, the tangibility of things unseen! God is not a man that he should lie. Faith moves God! Every time He healed someone, He pointed to their faith: “Your faith has healed you.” 

Substance reveals faith! The woman with the issue of blood needed a substance to enter her body to heal! She believed, but she needed the substance of her faith to be manifest to change her situation! Just like the centurion man of authority. He knew about Jesus, but he needed substance to be sent out to heal his servant. And His faith grabbed ahold of substance, of power. Just like the woman, her faith accessed the substance that was in Jesus without Jesus even laying a hand on her because faith manifests substance, healing, evidence of what you believe. These had something that was real, authentic. Not the dead letter from the scribes. When nothing happens, no one is going to point to your faith because everyone knows that faith has evidence. Faith has substance. Faith is tangible and has manifestation. Every time they came to confront Jesus, He didn’t do too much talking. He showed them the evidence. And when they tried to dispute the evidence, it was proved infallible! The Truth prevails. When John the Baptist needed evidence, as if the voice from heaven saying that Jesus was the one wasn’t enough proof, at that minute, John knew Jesus was the Messiah but later had unbelief. How much evidence do you need to believe? Thomas was looking for evidence. He wanted natural evidence. He wanted physical evidence. If the power of God is not enough evidence for you, then what will be? Jesus sent John's disciples back to him when John asked if he was truly the one. Jesus didn’t say, “Well, my mother was born a virgin birth,” this, that, and the third. No! He pointed to the evidence! The blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the Gospel is preached unto the poor (Matthew 11:5). What more do you need, John? Here is the evidence. When people come to you and question your faith, are you going to tell them you fast twice a week and pay your tithes? Or will you tell them the testimony of the power of God in your life?

Those that deny the power, from such turn away! They are reprobate concerning the faith! They are contrary to the lack of evidence in their life. Yes, blessed are those who believe and see not, but when you really believe, you will start to see. God is not a man that He should lie. These signs shall follow those who believe: They shall cast out demons, heal the sick, and speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17-19). Paul said I did not preach the Gospel with enticing words of man's wisdom but in demonstrations of the Spirit and Power so that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the Power of God (1 Corinthians 2:3-5)! Where does your faith stand? In the wisdom of this world and religion or the power of God! The same man also said our gospel did not come to you in word only but in power and in the Holy Ghost and in much assurance. There’s a witness of testification when the Word is preached with evidence, with power! The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. Preaching the Gospel without the power also kills because only the Spirit gives life. Jesus said, “My words are Spirit, and they are Life!” When it's His words going forth, people are being filled with the Spirit, and they are coming alive. That’s Jesus’s words, though! You can even copy Jesus’s words and it not be Jesus’s words! Why? Because if you read it out of a letter in your own spirit, you’ll just be reading a book to everybody. But when the scripture is proceeding out of the mouth of God by the Spirit, it’s giving life and life more abundantly because only where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Let every man speak as he is carried away by the Holy Ghost. The real Word of God is not void of His Spirit, but you trying to be an epistle without the Spirit is also a dead letter. 

See, even in the old, God gave evidence to back His messengers! With signs following their words! What was the first thing Moses and Aaron did to get pharaoh to believe to let my people go? They did their first miracle with God, and Aaron threw his staff on the ground, and it turned into a snake. But then, challenging evidence came through pharaoh’s magistrates. Just like a virus came as challenging evidence and many Christians were turned over to the spirit of fear. People get healed left and right, but the challenger brings sickness and death, but God’s snake will always swallow up the other snakes, the other staffs! God is the ultimate authority. No challenger is a match for Him! There is going to be conflicting evidence, but there is going to be so much evidence that the enemy will have to pour out a flood of lies from his mouth as it’s prophesied against the Church, against the woman, against the bride, but the woman will prevail (Revelation 12), and the earth will swallow up the lies. The Bible says that for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened, or else no flesh will be saved! We will have an anti-Christ that will sit in the temple of God, showing himself as God, performing many signs and wonders, deceiving many. He will come with evidence to show that he is approved. He will come with all the bells and whistles, but it will not be God. 2 Thessalonians 2 talks about many being turned over to a strong delusion that love not the Truth! Only God can keep us from deception, but we have to love the Truth. Many cannot receive the evidence because they hate the Truth. Many do not believe because Jesus said men love darkness rather than light. Even the pharisees refused to believe that Jesus was the Messiah, no matter how much evidence. Why? Because their deeds were being reproved as evil, because of pride, and because they said they could see; therefore, they remained blind. Jesus did not come for the righteous but to bring sinners to repentance. The pharisees did not want to be seen as sinners. They didn’t need Jesus because, in their eyes, they were the righteous of the land. So, they remained blind. We have many who can’t receive Jesus or believe in the real Jesus because they are trusting in filthy rags!

Everything we are doing is to give evidence to every unbeliever so that they may make a decision. So that they may judge and see that God is true and every man is a liar. The evidence will prove the Truth to be true! In a court of law, the evidence speaks for the judge to make the final decision.  If the evidence doesn't prove it to them, then that proves to us that they love not the Truth, as we said earlier! They shall be turned over to a flood lies. Many will decide not to see the substance in front of them, no matter how infallible it is, because they love darkness rather than light. We have many people preaching on a soap box on a street corner, but they have no evidence or signs and wonders following. That’s why they have no conversions! We need to work with the Holy Spirit to bring forth the evidence that they may see and believe! I don’t care if you preach like Peter did that one time in Acts 2 when he did not pray for one person because 3000 got saved (verse 41) because the anointing was there! The anointing breaks the yoke of death off people and brings salvation! When there is power, people feel the yoke break off of them, and that is their evidence. They feel lighter, they feel free, and they start to believe! We have to trust that the Word of God says my words are Spirit, and they are life because when it’s really His words, people get filled with the Spirit just like with Peter when he spoke. He laid hands on none, but many started to be filled with the Holy Spirit and Fire! God is not limited!

Did Jesus pray for the women at the well? I believe He just had to touch her with a word of knowledge, and that was evidence for her! You’ve had five husbands, and the one you’re with now isn’t even your husband! That was evidence for her to believe that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. She believed every word He spoke after that because right after the evidence was presented when she spoke about the Messiah, all He had to say was, “I Am He,” and she believed and went back to her city and released the well on her city. Let the well in you spring up into rivers of living water. When have you ever heard a well springing up into a river? That’s what’s inside of you! I will put in them a wellspring of life, springing up unto eternal life. What is the wellspring? it’s the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of God is joy, peace, and righteousness IN the Holy Ghost. When you’re in the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost is in you, you have joy, peace, and righteousness as you partner with Him, the well in you! 

Read Matthew 25. 

We know the anointing as oil, as substance. If something that says it’s from God is not mingled with oil, it may not be from God at all! Why? Because whatever He speaks has oil on it, has anointing on it. You have received of one anointing, one oil, one unction. You have no need that any man teach you, but the same anointing you have received of Him is the same anointing that shall teach you! See, the Anointing teaches people, and it comes upon men to do so. The Bible says no man shall teach you, but every man shall be taught by God! By what? By the Anointing. The Anointing is Christ. The Holy Spirit. If it has no anointing, it is not God teaching you. It is man teaching you! For the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth that leads us unto all truth. That we may know all things. That oil has to continue to come out. Olives need to be crushed to produce oil. Now, we are one olive tree, along with another. Two olive trees prophesied in Zechariah 4 and Revelation 11. Two witnesses, Jew and Gentile. Emptying out golden oil through golden pipes to the Nations. The olive tree pumping oil, and the vine pumping sap to the branch, pumping substance, keeping the tree alive and fruitful. If we take the vine from the tree, the branches start to fall off because there is no sap, no substance.

You’ve been taken out from your family tree and grafted into a new family tree that is no longer produced by sap but by oil. It's the Tree of Life in Christ, the family of God, that do the will of the Father because they are connected to one vine, and this is your sign that they are one because they do the will of God and have evidence to prove it! They do not deny the power, and Jesus said to the disciples about another who was casting out demons in His Name, “Forbid him not, for he that is not against us is for us.” How did that one show he was for Jesus? He was not denying the power. He was casting out demons. Satan cannot cast out satan. He had evidence that he believed because of signs of a believer. Evidence of a believer was seen. He was driving out devils! He had substance to prove his faith. He believed on the name of Jesus to do it!

We see in Matthew 25 that many had a lamp, but they had no oil. They had no substance. Many had a lamp, many were vessels, but only five had oil. We are vessels for God now, but I believe many vessels have gone dry, dormant. They stopped following the Holy Spirit or were never filled with the Holy Spirit in the first place. They were never converted. Dead dry vessels with Jesus’s name on them. They stopped fellowshipping with Him in Spirit and letting Him in to come and sup with them and receive His Spirit. And what does it say the Holy Spirit is? The Holy Spirit is the seal of God unto the day of redemption that gets us into His gates forever. Yet some, at the end of the parable in Matthew 25, did not have the oil, the substance, the seal, the Holy Spirit, and He said to them, I never knew you. See, the Holy Spirit is how we know God. Many know His name, but few know Him because they deny His Spirit. When they deny the power, they are really denying His Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the power. He is the substance of God in our lives and the evidence that we know Him. That’s why it says from such turn away because now they have become cessationists and are dead. They refuse God Himself because God is Spirit! They that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth! 

Many have a form of truth, a form of godliness, but they deny the Spirit. And they are none of His because the Spirit is God Himself, and you know them by their powerless doctrines and lifestyles. Power is a fruit because it can only be borne from the vine. And because they have no power, they show their lack of connection to the vine! Paul said if any man has not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His! The Holy Spirit is the connection, the substance of things hoped for. Faith is a fruit of the Spirit. He is our faith, and He gives us faith by His Words, which are life and spirit because the Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.  Not the words of man, not the words of the letter, but every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God! Shall man live? Shall man have substance? Do you have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying!? He is speaking, come buy oil from me, and I will give you eyes to see. For oil is the eye solvent; The Holy Spirit, the ointment. For you shall lean not on your own understanding or your own sight, but you shall trust in the Lord God in all your ways, and He shall direct your paths! The Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, shall lead us unto all Truth, and the Truth shall light our path because it is oil in our lamp. For His Truth, His Words, are life, and they are Spirit, and they will continue to fill you with the Spirit that you may continue to see Him and follow Him. They will light your lamps so that you may continue to see Him and know Him even in the darkest of times. You will have substance. You will have power to prove Him, to know Him, and to be known by Him. And the world will see that you are a son or daughter because they see the evidence. They see the substance on your life. The world is waiting for infallible proof of God, and they will see it… in you!
