CHERRY PICKING

God has laid on my heart to speak on this subject. I realize this is one of the main problems in the modern church today...Scripture out of context to God and His heart. This is where we get Hyper-Grace and Hyper-love. Scriptures are part of chapters and chapters are part of the entire book and all the book is part of an entire bible. In the entire bible, you always have if you do this. You have a situation also to testify of what someone else did and then what God did in return. When we try to claim one out of faith but do not do what is required through obedience, we are actually being foolish. Why don’t we go around quoting the bad scriptures? They come from the same heart of God and of consequences as well. Because that’s not good. We want the good stuff, of course...I believe this is very religious and very immature, not to memorize scripture but to deceive ourselves with only the good ones. I want to give just a few small examples so we can see deeper. See, yes, the bible is for all of us, but remember Paul was speaking to certain individuals and certain churches? So was Jesus, but without the context, you will not understand the verse, so let’s look at some of them just to get a feel. God’s Word always has three witnesses.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19, Now you go up a few verses to verse 15. 

“Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.” Philippians 4:15-16

So, he was explaining how no other church was supporting him but this one, and even when he was in other places, Paul kindly exposes the other groups of Christians in other cities for not doing as this one. Then Paul was clearly telling them he depends on God not man, telling them they sowed in heaven and laid treasures in heaven because they obeyed God’s ways and laws and Kingdom. Then Paul says!!

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

To the Philippians Church…This is why we have our personal relationship with Him, so He will tell us a scripture…Because God is not going to supply all your needs if you’re in fear, in sin, or in disobedience…If you have been faithful.

The salvation message is the same thing. Whoever calls out on the name of Jesus shall be saved. We turned it into a prayer: if you pray, you’re saved, and then we tell them they are saved. But they may not have been because a prayer does not save us, Jesus does. If we are born again, there is evidence. You will not need to tell that person- the person will tell you. But tell them they are on their way to heaven…How can you do that?

What about in the book of Acts, a whole house will be saved. How many pray that and say that. - So many, but this was one guy’s blessing, but look what He did to move God.

What about all of Israel will be saved...when Jesus said that so many of them will not inherit the kingdom...Only by the Blood and repentance. He says we must be born again. He says He is no respecter of persons. Then He says He could turn the rocks into sons of Abraham, so we need to know the heart and the target and context of what Paul is really saying………

Here is another one...

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:28

So people take this scripture and try to come against the entire bible when in the beginning God said He made them male and female…This scripture is speaking of in the Spirit…so if you read Romans 1, it clearly says that there is no condemnation for those who live(walk) after the Spirit…Then it says, but if you walk after the flesh, you’re not in the Spirit…

Let me ask you this? - How does one walk in the Spirit? By submitting their flesh to the Word of God, the counsel of God, and the Spirit of God. So, the whole bible talks about the roles that man and woman have in the Kingdom, and it talks about the flesh and the spirit...So when we are in divine order, we are in the Spirit. God is Spirit. We worship in that manner. So, did Jesus come as a man or a woman? He did not say I am not man or woman. It clearly says He was fully God and fully a man.

Did Jesus walk in the Spirit? Always, yes. HE was a man….So what God and Paul are speaking of the spirit of a man or a woman. A spirit does not have gender, but the person does. So how can one rebel against the Word of God which is heresy, one of the works of the flesh that means you are out of Christ (Spirit) and need to repent. So now these people want to say, “So now that I'm a Christian, I have no gender.” Crazy! So you’re not a Greek, why? Because you have been translated out of the world into the kingdom. The problem is we are in the world even though we are not of it. So we operate from another dimension. So go tell the driver’s license place that you are born in heaven and you are not an American, what will happen? Well, the world would call you nuts. But that same world wants to take scripture out context to make its own case for perversion. But now you can go say you don’t have a gender, that is acceptable. Why? - perversion of the Word of God. Whoever puts their agenda or their ideology above Jesus is a deceived person and will be taken out by the thief. So when we speak of heaven, we are speaking of the Spirit, the only way to have joy, peace, and righteousness is in the Spirit. How do we stay in the Spirit? By the Word! We must take the whole word of God. If Jesus considered Himself a man fully and God, who are we not to adhere to the Word? I am a bride of a man but I’m not a woman so then a bride in the spirit, but if I do not submit my body as a living sacrifice and hide in Christ, I am none of His. So let us mature in Him and know Him, and the full counsel. Do not be deceived and start to become a cherry picker to make your ways His ways. This is perversion. There is so, so, so, so many more! I could spend all day but that’s why God anoints preachers to make things known, and also, the Holy Spirit to guide us into all TRUTH, not perversion and witchcraft.
