 Everybody thinks results mean fruit; meanwhile, even the false prophets are producing results. Even the false prophets are showing what looks like fruit. Even the false prophets are seeing healings, miracles, signs, wonders, you name it. “Oh, he can quote scripture.” “Oh, she has a degree.” “He has a ministry.” “She gives words of knowledge.” “Oh, he preaches 24/7.”

Many are being deceived because they see a man or woman coming in the name of Jesus doing signs and wonders. Praying, preaching, and doing everything that Jesus did, but it’s not from God. 

Matthew 24:24

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

“That they may deceive the elect even if it were possible…” That’s how great this deception can get, that it may be possible to even fool the faithful. This is why we need to covet the truth more than signs and wonders, more than character and outward appearances, and more than results!

Everybody is looking for a sign, and this is the craftiness of the enemy. Signs can fool anybody. The enemy comes dressed as an angel of light, meaning that he comes acting like he is God or is from God.

The Bible says that many will come in my name and even do sign and wonders. Just because someone can do signs and wonders doesn’t mean they are of God. The Church needs to awaken to this truth or they will be easily deceived. The enemy is looking to abort sonship in the hearts of many. But the truth will save us! 

Exodus 7:10-12

“Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. But Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers; so the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments. For every man threw down his staff, and they became serpents.” 

 Exodus 7:20-22

“Moses and Aaron did as the Lord commanded. In the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants he lifted up the staff and struck the water in the Nile, and all the water in the Nile turned into blood. And the fish in the Nile died, and the Nile stank, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. There was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. But the magicians of Egypt did the same by their secret arts.”

And here you see two examples of people who showed results, exactly like Moses did. Were those others of God now because they can perform miracles like Moses? Absolutely not! Yet the majority of the church sees someone moving in a gift or even in another spirit, and they think it is God. 

Even when someone shows the results of character, people get fooled. Many see a person who claims to be Christian with good character, and they think that just because that person shows some self-control, has joy, or has some peace that they are showing signs of fruit. The question is not are they showing fruit. The question is, “Are they showing the fruit of THE SPIRIT!”

There is a difference. Even people in the world who are not saved can naturally have better character than others. They can look more loving or have more joy. Just because they produce that result doesn’t mean that it’s from God or that they are from God. 

We should never yoke ourselves with people who are powerless or people who are impure. And we should never yoke ourselves with people just because they show results. Yes, the Bible says you will know a tree by its fruit, but is the fruit a look-alike or is it from heaven?

We need to discern what is coming from Heaven, what is coming from God’s heart and hands. We love to cleave to anything that has power, but we need to learn not to gravitate to anything that is powerful just because it has power. Even the devil has power.

We need to learn how to cleave unto the anointing, unto the release of God, and unto the creations of the Father. Cleave to the ministers that He has called and He has sent, not to the ones that went to bible school and called themselves to ministry. 

And just because a certain minister shows results and shows that he or she knows the Bible, or that he or she has this gift, so what! Are they moving in God’s ordained will and purpose? Or are they moving in their own spirit and agenda? Are they building their own foundation, or are they building the house of God through the Spirit of God? This matters!If you get around the wrong people just because they produce results, in the end, you will be burned by deception and become just as bad as them.

We need to discern by THE SPIRIT who’s of God. We need to discern by THE SPIRIT who is genuine. We need to discern by THE SPIRIT if what is being released is from God or someone’s own belly! We need to discern by THE SPIRIT what is good and what is GOD.Everybody in the body should have discernment! The Bible says that the Word of God is a discerner of all things. So when we get the Truth In us, we can know what is of God and what is not. We can know when someone comes with results if it’s heavenly or if it’s genuine.  We can know when those people who have a smile on all the time come in, we will be able to tell if it’s genuine or are they hiding darkness behind that smile? 

When the word turns Spirit in us, we can discern by the Spirit what is Truth in the Spirit. We have an inward knowing of what is happening in the unseen realm. We need to know what’s happening in the unseen realm, in the heart, in the mind, and in the spirits of man to know what is real. What people say, do, and act like should never be accounted for without discernment of what is behind it all. 

We need to know no man by the flesh, by what they do and say, but by that inward knowing, that inward revelation of who that person is and of where that person is producing from. I can’t tell who is my brother and sister by what they say and do. I can tell who is my family in Christ by the Spirit and what they do is confirmation of that. 

Results can’t fool you when you have eyes to see. And when you have eyes to see, you will know what is good and what is God! 

Do not be fooled by results or else you will take part in their faults. And let us not be puffed up by our own results, but let us pray and see what source is producing in us. So that it would be Him inside of us who produces glory and power from Heaven in us. So that it would be Him who produces holiness inside of us. So that it would be Him who produces results with oil on it! 

A heart that is after Him produces oil! 

And that very oil produces the fruit and results of the Spirit!
