FEED MY SHEEP

Feed My Sheep! By Joe Pinto

The Kingdom is not about your problems. It’s about power and demonstration of God’s glory on earth as it is in Heaven! When we are fulfilling the will of the kingdom, all our problems get taken care of! When we take care of the church, His people, His Sheep, the Shepherd takes care of us!

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We need to get our eyes off ourselves and our struggles, and we need to stop focusing on ourselves and focus on the Kingdom at hand.

Everyone wants to feed and take care of themselves, but Jesus said if you love me, Feed My Sheep!

Are you feeding His sheep? Or are you feeding yourself?

If people really understood that if they would take care of His house, of His people, He would bless them. He’s saying, take care of Me and I will you! And when He’s saying take care of Me, He’s saying take care of them. It’s them that He cares about. It’s the sheep that are His prized possession. The apple of His eye! And to serve them is to serve Him and that is the greatest servant of all. The sheep is what He cares about and what He’s burning for!

What are you burning for?

His bride? Or Pride?

And if it’s not for His bride, then your fire is for you. If you expect God to just serve you and live up to your expectations, then you have the wrong God. He didn’t give His life to just give to anyone. He gave His life that you would give yours to His and would give it to the body of Christ, His people!

Your life is what he covets the most, and if you’re not giving Him what He covets, how can your covetousness be fulfilled?

Everybody says, “I want to do the will of God,” but not many realize what the will of God is. We need to know what His will is after, and His will is after His Sheep, His Church, His bride! And if that’s not what you’re after, you’re not after Him.

Everything we have, everything we possess, is for the sheep, is for the church of Jesus Christ. That’s why we’re here anyway. If it wasn't for God prepping a spotless bride to Himself and raising up sons for the sake of the lost, then we would have been taken up already. Though we have a purpose, we have a reason, and it’s all for them! What greater love does one have than to lay his life down for his friends.

John 21:15-19

15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”

16 He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?”

He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.”

He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”

17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?”

And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.”

Do you love Him? But if you don’t feed His sheep, you don’t love Him! This is what Jesus is saying. If you love me, then you will prove it by serving my people.

Your gifts are not to be used for anything other than to serve the body of Christ, to feed the sheep. What have you been entrusted with from Heaven? What gifting(s) has God given you? Are you an apostle? Prophet? Pastor? Helps? Administration?

You are preaching at service on Sundays or you’re the worship leader or you’re the administrator of material things for ministry. Whatever it is God has entrusted you with, this is how you feed the sheep. Being in your place, doing your operation for the body, that you may do your part for the raising up of the Church of Jesus Christ.

His will is to save and keep His sheep. We’re not fortune tellers, we’re not businessmen. We are Shepherds, Sheep Watchers, Watchmen, Guards, Defenders, Protectors, Priests, Fathers, Mothers, Brothers, Sisters, and so on!

And if we’re not in any of those categories yet, this is what we are supposed to be raised up into. This is what we are called to do, feed the sheep!

We are not here to help the world in its doings. We are here to bring people to Him! We are not here to help the world with their needs, we are here to bring the lambs to the shepherd.

John 17:8-16

“For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. And all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine, and I am glorified in them. Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I come to You, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”

Even Jesus said it Himself, He is not praying for the world. He’s praying for all those that His father has given to Him. All those that cried out to be saved, all those who have said I desire you, Lord. He’s praying for them! That they would endure, that they would be kept. That they would be not of the world. That they would not run off. This is the whole point of the Christian life. To keep thyself unspotted from the world, and to be set apart to Him. And to be set apart to Him is to be reconciled with His body, His bride, the sheep.

We are called to serve Jesus. Jesus provides for the needs of our mortal body, and we are to provide for the needs of His body. Though the body of Jesus is a little bit different, his mortal body has gone up to heaven, but He is saying you can still serve my body, my body of believers!

Matthew 4:8-10

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

And this is what the devil is doing to every believer in the body. The same temptation you go through is the same that He went through, and every response that Jesus said has hidden revelation on how to overcome each enticement. And we will be tempted by Satan to go after the kingdoms of the world. We have enough preachers today that have been contaminated, that will tell you that you can have the kingdoms of the world and Him.

Though your response should be no different than His.

“Thou shall worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shall I serve!”

Many are serving the kingdoms of this world and saying they are serving Him. If your worship which is your life doesn’t consist of intimacy with Him and serving the sheep, then your proclamation of faith is a lie. The Bible says the greatest in the kingdom is the servant of all, the one who gives His life for His brothers. This is the one that shall be highly esteemed!

Matthew 20:20-28

20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedees children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.

23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Who will give their life as a ransom for the sheep? For the body of Christ! To lay their life down for their Father’s kids. These shall be granted to sit on His right hand.

God is saying feed my sheep, and I will feed you!

Be the minister of all, and you will be granted to sit at His right hand. The Father is looking for lives that are laid down. He’s looking for people that have nothing to live for, that have nothing to hope in, in this world. These shall He give a new hope, a destiny, something to live for. Jesus the Savior shed His blood that He may make you a savior. A savior in the sense that you will point people to THE SAVIOR, Jesus, who will point you to the Father. And the Father will point you to the sheep, and you feed the sheep, the Kingdom. Then you will be counted greatest in the Kingdom.

Do you love Him?

Feed His Sheep!
